Naag-Bali Shradh

Naag Bali Shradh is a Hindu ritual performed to appease and offer respect to the souls of serpents (Nagas) and to seek their blessings. It is conducted to resolve issues related to serpent deities and to bring peace and prosperity to the family.

The purpose is to honor and seek the blessings of serpent deities, believed to be ancestors or powerful spirits and to address issues such as curses or problems attributed to serpent deities.

The ritual is typically performed at sacred sites like temples or sacred kunds (ancient lakes), which includes offerings of food, particularly items like milk, rice, and sesame seeds, which are considered auspicious for serpents.  The ritual involves performing specific rites, prayers, and mantras dedicated to serpent deities. The ceremony may be conducted by a priest knowledgeable in these rituals.

This ritual not only helps in resolving disturbances or curses related to serpent deities but also ensures their satisfaction. This aims to remove obstacles and bring harmony and prosperity to the family. This ritual can be performed on specific days considered auspicious for serpent worship or at times of personal or family need.
