Rudra Abhishek is a Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva, where the deity is worshiped in his Rudra form. During the ceremony, sacred items like water, milk, honey, ghee, and other offerings are poured over a Shiva Lingam while chanting powerful Vedic mantras, especially the "Rudra Sukta" from the Yajurveda. The ritual is believed to please Lord Shiva, remove negative influences, and bring peace, prosperity, and protection to the devotees.
1. Laghu Rudra Abhishek (Short) - 30mins
The Laghu in Laghu Rudra Abhishek means short or simple. So this version is shorter than the full Rudra Abhishek but still holds significant spiritual power. It is performed to invoke Lord Shiva's blessing for health , prosperity & removal of obstacles.
2.Maha Rudra Abhishek (long)- 3 hours
Maha Rudra Abhishek is a detailed ritual worship of Lord Shiva, involving the chanting of the "Rudra Sukta" and bathing the Shiva Lingam with offerings like water, milk, honey, ghee, etc. This ritual is performed for divine blessings and protection, and the removal of obstacles. This ritual is performed by at least 5 Brahmins, up to 11 Brahmins.
